Being stuck home on quarantine has me making all kinds of updates and changes around the house. We've had to cancel two vacations due to stay-at-home orders so I figure we mine as well use a little of that money to complete some home improvement projects I've been wanting to tackle.
Most of the projects have been small, like finally ordering new curtains for the dining room (we lost ours due to a slime incident almost a year ago) and finding artwork for some of the places in the house that still need something more. Needless to say I've been clicking "add to cart" way more often these past few weeks!
I am currently partnering with a company called Photowall and am amazed by their huge collection of art and wallpaper. I decided to order a large poster for a space in the house that I've always felt has needed something special. I ordered a large print called Models in Party Dresses by Gordon Conway.
Gordon Conway was an early 20th century fashion illustrator and designer whose work reflects the flapper culture of the 1920s. I love the vintage lithograph style of this poster. Photowall has other vintage inspired artwork too and it was really hard for me to choose just one poster!
Now that I have it, I'm also having a hard time deciding exactly where to hang my new poster. I originally planned to hang it on my vintage industrial cafe window. However it looks really amazing hanging on the new green wall in my entryway too. What do you think?
The posters arrive rolled up and packaged nicely. The top and bottom support bars are easy to assemble. You can adjust the length of the hanging string to whatever works best for your space. The poster paper is thick with nice quality printing. This particular piece, like a lot of their other posters, also comes as wallpaper.
I would LOVE to use some wallpaper from Photowall for my daughter's room, but first I need to figure out if we are staying in our current home long enough to make another big investment. Until then I'm thinking I may order a series of posters for above the bed in my son's room. Here in California, we have to be super careful about earthquakes. These posters are fairly light weight and I wouldn't have to worry about hanging them above his bed. I love this series of shadow puppet posters!
As part of our partnership Photowall is offering my design clients and social media followers 25% off their order on artwork AND wallpaper. Just use coupon code: mendezmanor25 at check-out. The offer is good for one month! Here are a few more favorites that I was debating on when trying to make my decision. Thanks for reading! -Nicole Mendez, Curator
