Today I am bringing this handsome gentleman’s clothes valet with bench seat into my shop at Pomona Antique Mart. It’s made of brass with faux wood accents and vinyl upholstered bench. It measures 45.5 inches tall, 19 inches wide and 17.5 inches in depth. This valet features a bar at the top for hanging ties, a shoulder-width coat hanger and trouser bar for hanging pants. Also at the top is a small recessed tray for setting out things like watches, cufflinks and other manly accessories. And of course the bench at the bottom, meant to hold shoes or any folded items.
Pieces like this are classic! No doubt that every well dressed man in the 60s had a clothes valet in his bedroom. Today it will make awesome functional decor in a bedroom, large closet or entryway.
