I’ve been doing LOTS of potted plants this summer, both for myself and for clients. Lately, I’ve abandoned my loyalty to terra-cotta for a more sleek and modern look. For my recent project up in Lake Arrowhead, I’m grouping three different pots together and creating little arrangements for each corner of the deck. My favorite color combo for planters right now is white, black and grey. And of course always trying to find plants that are drought resistant since it’s very hot and dry here in California.
Some of my favorite drought tolerant plants to use lately are:

- Lantana
- Olive bush
- Bougainvillea
- Agave
