OVERVIEW:
This powder/guest bathroom design was created for a client who lives in a newly renovated condo near the ocean and loves to sail. It’s small bathroom right of the main entryway with just enough space for a toilet, vanity, and a few wall shelves for storage. I started with a matte blue hexagon shaped tile with bold graphic pattern. I love using bold patterns in small spaces to create a more dramatic effect. The geometric lines will actually make our client’s bathroom look bigger than it is. The color of the tile is reminiscent of the ocean and has a modern nautical feel. This particular pattern also comes in several other color options, and I have to say, I love them all!
The vanity set we went with from Home Depot is sold out but you can shop a few similar looks above. We liked the natural wood mixed with the white quartz countertop and the black metal accents. To tie in the black accents on the vanity, I recommended a pivot mirror with black frame and two simple sconces with a matte black finish. A black woven pendant light also brings the darker color up to the ceiling, creating a nice balance of color for the eye.
We will be going with a natural woven Roman Shade for the window and mounting it inside the window frame for a clean look. Reclaimed floating wood shelves will be mounted above the toilet for holding extra towels and small decor items. The metal finishes will be a mix of polished chrome and matte black. Don’t be afraid to mix metals for more professional look!
Since our client is into sailing, I of course had to add sailboat print. We are using one from Photowall which can be printed in a variety of ways. We really love how this design turned out and can’t wait to see it come to life within our client’s home! All of our virtual design packages come with vision boards and shoppable source sheets that make it easy for you to visualize and execute the design we’ve created for you.
