The Southwest is calling, and I’m picking up with this California farmhouse bathroom design! With vintage style and rustic accents taking the reins in this vision board, we’ve pulled together a space full of warmth and timeless charm that captures the essence of California-Casual style with a Western twist.
At the heart of this design is a wooden double vanity that oozes sophistication. Soft-close doors and drawers add a touch of luxury to the vanity, making it feel exceptionally elegant. The Carrara marble countertops and ceramic sinks elevate the overall look, infusing a sense of casual opulence into the space. Crafted with 100% solid wood, this vanity is not only great looking but also built to stand the test of time.
To achieve the perfect blend of retro and contemporary, I opted for the Metro Penny matte white with black flower porcelain mosaic tiles. This vintage motif is a classic choice for any bathroom, offering that nostalgic, old-school feel that perfectly complements the California Farmhouse aesthetic. The interlocking mesh arrangement of matte white and black penny rounds creates a seamless installation that adds depth and character to the bathroom.
One of my favorite elements in this design is the black and gold accent mirrors. These mirrors were among the first things I picked for this space, and I couldn’t be happier with the look. Their rounded contemporary design and distressed gold accents lend a unique blend of modern and vintage charm to the bathroom.
Lighting is essential for setting the tone in a space, and is a great way to add an extra dose of style. In this bathroom, I opted for sleek yet vintage-inspired matte black 2-Light sconces. These sconces add a touch of sophistication while playing against the antique vibe of the mirrors.
To bring in a touch of farmhouse charm, I went with the Verena Amber Red Rug from Ruggable. The vintage look rug in a deep rust red with navy and gold accents adds a warm and inviting feel underfoot. Its classic Persian theme and farmhouse vibe perfectly complement the overall design. And the best part? It’s water-resistant, stain-resistant, and machine-washable, making it both practical and stylish.

Accessories play a crucial role in enhancing the farmhouse feel, and for this design, I chose the “Cows in a Pasture” print, which pairs perfectly with the “Antique Saddle I” wrapped canvas. Their earthy tones and vintage appeal add depth and character to the overall design, while subtly nodding to the Western elements I love to incorporate.
Completing the decor, I’ve gone with these casual woven wash cloths. Although listed as dish towels, I see their potential to become perfect hand towels for the bathroom. Rolled up in a carved wooden bowl, they add a rustic touch while being functional and aesthetically pleasing.
In conclusion, this California farmhouse bathroom design is a cozy blend of vintage aesthetics, southwestern influences, and casual elegance. From the classic double vanity to the interlocking mosaic tiles, every element was carefully curated to bring forth the essence of California-Casual style with a dash of Western flair. If you’re looking to revamp your bathroom with a little Western decor overhaul, take inspiration from this warm and inviting space!
