I am excited to share this online interior design feature for a California casual mid-century modern living room. For this project our client is remodeling her California desert home. She uses the home as a vacation home and rents it out on Airbnb when she and her husband are not using it. She recently had the hardwood flooring refinished and was able to send a really great photo of her empty room before we started.
For the interior we wanted to play on the mid-century design of the house. We started with a vintage 1970’s coffee table that was passed down to my client through family. I suggested the Andes 3-piece sectional from West Elm. It comes in four different size options and lots of fabric choices. For reference, we are using the fabric option “Pewter/Deluxe Linen” in this design.
I paired the sectional with the Wilder Leather chair from Arhaus and grounded them, along with the coffee table, with the Keziah Flatweave rug from Lulu & Georgia. For reference we went with the “Moss” color option in the 9 x 12 size. The new light fixture is the Nikita Pendant, also from Arhaus and the artwork (inspired by found textiles) is titled, “Lace Framed Textile” from Pottery Barn.
