Last week I was searching for an authentic Persian rug for a client’s dining room. Since I can’t really go out shopping right now, I went on Instagram to @mesavintage, one of the accounts that I know sells vintage rugs. When she didn’t have exactly what I was looking for, she introduced me to a handful other amazing vintage rug shops. I wanted to share some of these sources with you so I present: The 5 Best Vintage Rug Shops on Instagram.
To my knowledge these shops are operating only on the Instagram platform, so you will probably not find them if you are doing a Google or Etsy search for vintage rugs. They all have beautiful collections and very reasonable prices. Most of the time shipping is included or you can pay an extra fee. If you are searching for an authentic vintage Persian or Kilim rug, I think these shops are definitely worth checking out!
I’ve found these Instagram dealers to be very attentive and willing to help out. If you have an idea of what you’re looking for, you can send them a direct message with the style, colors, or size you want. Typically they will message you back right away with options and more photos if requested.
