In the last part of my Foothill Ranch project feature I want to show you my client’s back patio renovation. It turned out beautiful and I’m glad we were able to capture some before and after shots!

Before
As you can tell from this before shot, the patio space is long and narrow. Although it’s not very deep, it does span the entire width of the house, so there’s plenty of space for both an outdoor dining area and sitting area.
Our Design
Our design for the patio space features the Porto outdoor sofa and swivel chairs from West Elm and the Burrows fire pit table from Pottery Barn. It also includes the Portside outdoor dining table from West Elm and the Sophia outdoor dining chairs from CB2.

After
In California we get to use our outdoor spaces so often. One of our main goals was to make sure this space was suitable for year-round use and maximum comfort. I think we definitely nailed it!
If you scroll back to the before photo, you can see that one of the main changes to this patio is that the over-hang was extended and the support posts moved out further towards the fence. This gave a lot more room for furniture and creating a livable outdoor space.
Along with new furniture this space received:
- Updated flooring
- New patio over-hang with recessed lighting
- Ceiling fan
- Outdoor heaters
- Powers roller shades
- Outdoor television
You can’t quite see it in these photos, but my client’s have a gorgeous view overlooking Orange County from this patio. My hope is that they can enjoy this space for years to come!
Project Overview
This project was completed using a combination of online design packages and on-site consultations. With my flat rate online design services I’m able to create an interior design concept for moving forward and then guide my clients through the implementation process. I act as your “designer on call” as you bring your design to life.
If you are in the Orange County or Inland Empire area, I am also available for on-site consultations. An on-site consult could be used in addition to the purchase of a design package, or separately, if you are just looking for one-time professional advice.
