Feeling all the eclectic vibes in this Joshua Tree-style living room! Characterized by a relaxing blend of rustic, bohemian and Southwestern style, Joshua Tree style is full of organic materials for easy desert living. It’s all about that laid-back California-Casual feel, effortlessly blending natural elements with eclectic decor for a space that becomes a full-on retreat.

Layering patterns is key to achieving the desert’s eclectic chic look, which why we’re starting off with the Becki Owens x Surya Solana vintage look area rug. The two-toned pattern delivers that Southwestern look, and I love the scale of the design. Plus, the lines are charmingly irregular, giving this rug a handmade look you might actually mistake for vintage! Between you and me, I think the look overdelivers for the price point.

The Rocca coffee table, with its jet black concrete finish, echoes the area’s rugged landscape while easily blending with the space’s eclectic charm. The dark color perfectly complements the Four Hands Judah end table. A mix of reclaimed woods with all kinds of natural cracks and curves, this sculptural table is both eco-friendly and super stylish. That’s a double win in my book!

Natural textures like sheepskins are a decor constant in stylish Joshua Tree homes. When you’re ready to kick back and relax, the natural sheepskin upholstered armchair from Wayfair has your back (literally). At less than $400, it’s such a statement for a steal while seamlessly complimenting the room’s eclectic vibes.

Next up is the Zander sofa from West Elm. The caramel leather color brings in those warm desert tones with a splash of mid-century modern flair. If the price tag makes you do a double take, I came across this dupe on closeout sale at Wayfair right now. While I do like the leather and size on the Zander a bit better (it’s 90” as opposed to 84”), it could be a good option for anyone looking for this look for less.

Circling back to layering up those patterns – these Ember Tribal Orange and Blue poufs add a pop of desert-toned color with more Southwestern pizzazz. Set against the tribal rug and playing off these geometric pillows, this combo screams eclectic chic. Plus, floor seating is perfect for creating a desert-casual vibe in the space.

Wicker and rattan accents come together to finish this Joshua Tree-style living room off. The zig-zag barrel wicker basket from AllModern is a bit of stylish storage that contributes to the pattern-mixing. The woven baskets reference the Nossa wide natural pendant light from Crate & Barrel. Its woven seagrass texture takes the natural desert feels all the way up to the ceiling.

By embracing textures, blending patterns, and welcoming the natural world inside, Joshua Tree-style spaces are all about chilling out and easy living. Hoping this space can help inspire you to bring a bit of desert tranquility into your own home!
