That said, I love a good save option here too. There are some really solid sideboards under $1,000 that still give you the look—especially if you’re styling a secondary space or working within a tighter budget.
The biggest difference usually comes down to:

- and long-term wear
If this is a high-use piece in your main living area, it might be worth the splurge. Otherwise, a save option can absolutely work.

This is one of those categories where it really depends on the role the piece is playing in your home.

But if you’re simply looking for:

- or something for a quieter corner

That means you can:
- go with a more affordable option
- still get the same visual impact
- and swap it out later if your style changes
If you love that polished brass look, there are some great options under $500 (and even under $300 if you’re okay with assembly).
