Coffee table styling comes as part of our Complete Virtual Home Design package so we do a lot of it! We like to give our clients a formula to go by and then we recommend a ton of different decor options that could work.
Long rectangular coffee tables seem to be the most common among coffee table shapes. We have one in our family room, where we spend most of our time, and it’s the shape we deal with most when designing a living room or family room for one of our clients. Here is my formula for styling a rectangle coffee table. – Designer, Nicole Mendez
RECTANGLE COFFEE TABLE STYLING FORMULA
- Arrange decor in three groupings
- Stack groupings in varying heights
- Set groupings towards the middle, leaving space around the edge for a cup of coffee or tea
- Use a tray or bowl for gathering smaller items like remote controls
- Always add an element of nature
It’s always fun to change out your coffee table decor seasonally or just when you get bored of the same look after a while! You can shop the look in this post by clicking the pics above. You can see more coffee table decor options among our collection boards.
